My 12 month old ds is mixed fed taking 2 bottles a day at bedtime and during night with the rest of time bf. He has never slept through the night but had become alot better by taking bottle of formula at bedtime and me standing with him/back patting until he fell asleep and he would wake just once between 7 and 5 ish. Before this he would only feed to sleep usually a bf (so i felt it a big improvement).
Recently he has started teething with back teeth and had a cold so has not wanted to take a bottle and has been awake lots and lots wanting bf back to sleep.
I am wondering whether to try to stop bf altogether so this is not an option when he continually wakes and hope he will evntually realise its not worh it. I think to do this i would need to properly stop so he does not smell and associate me with this option.
My husband often works away midweek so i need an option i can do by myself. I have 3 other children 5 and under so i am completely exhausted.
