My DD is 8 months old and has never had anything other than breast milk. Up until just very recently she's been EBF and I have started introducing EBM. It was just once a day. now two bottles of EBM during the day, BF morning, BF bedtime.
The past 4 nights she has been playing around, chewing on my nipple, pulling it between her gums and pulling her head back stretching it, or just lying there playing with my face etc... She will not feed from me. Tonight I gave up trying and gave her some EBM I luckily had left, and she sucked on the bottle until dozy, then stuck her thumb in and fell asleep. Normally at bedtime I feed her to sleep.
Could it be a nursing strike now I'd moved her to her daytime feeds being a bottle of EBM? I only want her to take EBM during the day to prepare her for my return to work, and so I caN start to be away from her during the day. I don't want to stop BF and I don't think I'd be able to express enough to give her exclusively EBM either. I really want her to be on breast milk until 1 year.
