Tongue tie query

I have had my DDs tongue tie cut twice. She now can't lift the middle if her tongue, does it sound like its reattached again? Really don't want to put her through it again but it is still so painful to feed.

I'd take her back to the surgeon to re-asses.
how old is she?
I presume less than 6 months, so if she has to have it done then so be it - not only the breast feeding, but formula feeding would be affected with improper latch, she could have trouble moving on to solids or learning to speak!

better get it done now 3rd time at least she won't remember....

my DD had a atypical tongue-tie, where the "tie was at the base of the tongue, not pulling the tip down, rather binding the base of it, thick chunk of skin. surgeon was really going at it, blood everywhere, it was horrible
especially compared to DS, who had a thin piece of skin so obvious I could have cut it!

maybe they never cut it deep enough for your DD to release tongue well enough?

What Amazing said, especially the last paragraph.

Is there another trained person to give a second opinion?

Had it assessed by lactation consultant today and scar tissue has formed and she has a restriction back again.

Have an appointment with the surgeon tomorrow morning. Just need to make sure it doesn't heal again!

The first time it was cut they do the anterior one second time they cut scar tissue and a posterior one!

Did they give you stretches / massages to reduce likelihood of reattaching?

There's good info on the Facebook TT suppolrt group and a video .
