Hi, I've tried this a few times with my 2 month old. It seems full of bubbles and gives her really awful wind so instead of being in pain with her reflux shes in pain with that which completely defeats the object! Has anyone used this and have any advice on how to reduce this? Shes not CMP intolerant and I'm using tommee tippee fast flow teats. I breast feed most of the time but was hoping to use this at night to help settle her.

I don't know about ff (hopefully someone helpful will be along soon) but if your dd has reflux and you are bf, it is the best thing in the world for her if you can carry on bf without formula! (My dc3 has reflux, it's horrid so you have my sympathy.) She may be unsettled at night because of the reflux, not because she needs formula - have you tried raising the head end of her Moses basket/crib/cot? Keeping her upright for 30 mons after feeds?

The fast flow teats might be a problem. At 2 months it would be surprising if she could cope with them. Try a slower teat and see if this helps. We used the Aptimil comfort formula for some time and never found it full of bubbles as you describe. Try stirring it with a spoon rather than shaking it to dissolve the powder.

Hope that helps and good luck.

Thanks. We follow all the guidance about sitting upright etc. Shes on gaviscon, ranitidine and domperidone- none really help much. I guess its just a question of riding it out for a few months. The directions on the tin say use a fast flow teat as the formula is so thick. I think i'll carry on with breast feeding. Thanks guys.
