Can I use old bottles/teats from first pregnancy?

I have loads from my first pregnancy but they are 4/5 years old. Can I use them, obviously after a good clean and sterilise or would you start from scratch? They are the Avent ones.

Thanks

I reused the bottles but there's only 19 months between DS and DD. The teats looked a little discoloured though so we bought new ones.

The recommendation on the bottles is that they should be replaced after 6 months, or something equally ridiculous, so I guess it's a judgement call on your part.

I've reused bottles but always bought new teats.

I wouldnt re-use teats but you should be ok to re-use the bottles. It also depends how you feel about the BPA issue as your old ones may not be BPA free and you may wish to replace them with bottles that are BPA free.

Thanks everyone for your advice. I didn't even know about BPA so I've been out today and bought new. I shall be binning the others as they were very well used and I don't want to take the risk.

Thanks again x
