Random wind question!!

This ms be a silly question.....but if I don't manage to get a decent burp out of my ds (which happens more often than I'd like!!) would this give him bottom wind? Are the 2 types of wind actually that closely connected? He has really really bad trumps still and I'm not sure how I can help him out?! Any ideas anyone??? :-)

No, they aren't connected - one is from swallowing air and one is gases formed in the bowel from digesting milk. Does the wind bother him?

I very rarely bothered burping mine.

I know if I don't get burps out of mine then he will wriggle in pain and by morning will be doing big trumps.... Not a biology student but surely it moves through?

Thanks for the replies. Yes RitaMorgan it does bother him. It is painful enough to wake him and make him cry. He is very twitchy and unsettled a lot of the time. He is currently being treated for acid reflux too (app with specialist on 26th oct) but it's the wind that seems to upset him most. Just wondered if there's any link to inadequate burping and trumping? Also if there's anything I could do to help him?? Sad

What are the reflux symptoms? Could it in fact be that causing the discomfort?

Well he is sick after any feed which doesn't have gaviscon in. He hates lying on his back. He swallows back an useen something all the time and looks unhappy about the taste...but it doesn't look painful....just uncomfortable.
He also arches his back all the time really badly...I'm not sure if this is a symptom of wind, colic or reflux?! I just know he does it a lot. Sad
