Nipple pain FAQ and best cures - can you contribute?

I feel it would be useful to have some FAQ info on here that we could build on. Maybe starting with nipple pain, common reasons for it and cures?
With the peer supporters and BFC(s) we have we should be able to come with some really useful stuff. :)

I have chunks missing on the sides of both nipples. I don't know how to deal. The surface grazes are better with the Lansinoh etc.
