DS is doing the usual stuff for his age- hands in mouth a lot and possible teething. So how do I spot hunger cues? At the moment I offer a lot and he may or may not take milk. I offer a lot as I've been used to near-constant feeding until recently and I don't like to wait for him to cry with hunger, so spotting earlier cues would be ideal

Also, he still does that newborn thing of doing a poo during or soon after most feeds. I thought this was a newborn reflex that would have disappeared by now. He will do a huge, explosive , no happy can contain them poos after his first few feeds each day -from morning to afternoon. He does no like in the evening or overnight. They can be green or yellow. The greenish ones are new and I believe possibly related to drooling.

I don't know about hunger cues - I always offered if ds was grizzly or unsettled as usually that meant he was either hungry or tired. By about 4/5 months we had settled into a bit of a routine of feeding on waking, before naps, after naps, and at bedtime - so around 6 in the day and then 2 more in the night.

As for poos, mine was (still is in fact) a very frequent pooer. They slowed down once he was on solids, but still 1-4 a day.
