I have just found out that a batch of Similac High Energy milk has been recalled. My daughter has already drank 60 bottles from this batch ! She's on it because she was low weight. Apparently the pharmacist or the dietician should have been contacted by the manufacturer and then got in touch with me. The only reason I know is because the next month's supply is due and wasn't available at my pharmacy so I contacted the manufacturer directly who explained the problem. Apparently some babies have been sick after drinking this batch due to 'oxidation of some ingredients'. They didn't explain what this means and say the symptoms will disappear if they drink milk from another batch. My baby was very sick for a few days, has had strong wee for the last week or so, more wind than usual and not been keen on other food. I hope this is nothing serious. I'm sharing this in case others havent been notified of the recall. The batch is 04787NR.
