Tommee Tippee Teats Blocking

Hi I am currently using Tommee Tippee Closer to nature teats size 2 for my twin boys. I am following the instructions on the Cow and Gate Milk and they also have Gaviscon in them for reflux. The problem is they keep blocking up during a feed which as you can imagine with no free hands is quite tricky to deal with. It doesn't appear to be the hole in the teat as there is no milk blocking them so I can't work out what the problem is. TT say that they are no good for hungrier baby feed which doesn't strike me as particularly impressive but they have advised me to move to no 3 teats. However my GP has advised me to slow the feed down and increase its consistency which means not moving up a teat size

Has anyone else had similar probs?

thanks xx

if the milk is too thick though then it will not come through the smaller sized hole. There is no harm in trying the faster one and see if it helps. Or you could try a variflow teat.

p.s. have you made sure the valve on the teats is open - rub between thumb and finger to open. The valve should sit up near the nose when feeding
