is this a growth spurt?

10 week old DS2 won't settle at all during the day until about 9pm. He then sleeps in 2/3 hour chunks which is ok, I think. Wants to feed all the time during the day.
He's a big boy, 15lb already. And I am knackered Grin
Does this sound like a growth spurt? BF DS1 but this is so different.

hairy, congratulations on your new DS and also for getting him so big, you are doing a fantastic job Smile

How long has he been unsettled in the day for?

Also hairy, what do you do with him when he's unsettled in the day?

It's been the last few days that he won't nap. He's not too narky, just won't stay asleep for more than 10 mins or so at a time. My mum is here so he's being held a lot, she's got him to sleep in her arms but I can't do that when she's not here.

He wouldn't even settle in the sling yesterday! The car is still working thank god.

I'm trying to settle him in his hammock but that never works anyway. So it's boob/ dummy depending who's got hold of him and walking round with him we're doing most. I'm worried he's not getting enough sleep. He looks really tired all day.

What else should I try?

This is my DD, you are not alone! I'm hoping it is a growth spurt too Grin

If its just a few days then it could well be a growth spurt, or he could just be feeling unwell or a little unsettled at the change in routine over Christmas.

Hopefully it will soon pass, in the meantime I'd feed, feed and feed some more.
