No reason you can't do both but Google's Affiliate programme gives you lots of choice of which brands you want to work with so might be better for you.

If you blog about yoga, health, fitness, lifestyle, this is the affiliate for you: 50% off sales plus a great yoga resource for you to use:

Adsense pays for clicks - a few pence. Affiliates pay for leads/sales - up to 50%.
Some affiliates will send you blog posts to simply copy on your blog and pay $5 for each. Here's my top favorites (I pay my ISP bill with this):
Wordpress doesn't allow many adverts, but you can get away with a few if you also have plenty of non commercial content generated by yourself.

If you go to and look under affiliates, you should be able to sign up as one and in doing so I seem to remember you list your site on which you will be placing the link ads. You then choose your products and get a link. Hope this helps. smile

Am taking the next step in blogging by trying to put some ads on my site. Pls can anyone help differentiate between google adsense or affiliates? No idea what I'm doing....

My blog is and don't want it to lose sense of identity with ads for everything.

Ramble over...
