Hello, I am new to blogging and have started one on wordpress. Now I used one of their themes to make it look better. The problem is I don;t want to leave the ability for users to tweet or fb link the page. I am all for comments etc. How do I see how to remove it? I cannot see how to view the pages in HTML or I could remove it that way. Any help? Thankyou!

Also, how on earth do you get traffic???

Hmm, you could perhaps remove the button to remove the link to FB or Twitter, but that doesn't mean that they can't do so - just that they would have to cut and paste your url.

And if you want more traffic, why make it more difficult for your readers to share it?

You should be able to disable this on Settings - Sharing.

Yes, settings - Sharing.

But it's counter-intuitive if you're looking for more traffic.

Why don't you want people to Tweet or Facebook or Beebo or what have you, your blog?

Well, even without a button, as MMeL said, people can post you to FB just by copying and pasting the URL.

And Facebook can very useful for bloggers.

What's your blog so I can have a look?

I do understand where you're coming from re Facebook but I think it's not worth going against something that can be so helpful. I've only been blogging for 3 weeks and I have a lot of links through from Facebook - I have a "business" page on Facebook - so not my personal one where I talk about things I've written in my blog and link through to it. It has taken time to get used to all this social media malarky but i think i'm getting there (and dare i say becoming a little addicted).

Would love to read your blog and as ZombTEE and MmeLindor have shown, there are some fantastic experts here who are great with any help - they've answered an enormous amount of my questions

Good luck - my blog is here

Thanks again! I am yet to join MN bloggers but will once I have actually blogged a bit more.

Pepples I will post a link in the future. Simply because when I do sort of go "live" with my blog I will name change to post here, as my blog outs me a bit and I like the anonymity of MN [hsmile]

Huge Thankyou to you all.
