Baby Rochwen couldn't wait ...

Baby Girl Rochwen arrived last Friday - 8.07.05, at 12.30 noon by urgent c/s due to breech after my waters broke the night before a whole 5 weeks early. She is 49 cm long and weighed in at a respectable 2420 grams (5 pounds 8 ounces). She only needed to stay at the neo-natal unit for 2 nights and after 6 nights in hospital we are finally home.

The c/s was very relaxed and a positive experience. The staff were very professional and kind. Breastfeeding is going well (much to everyone's surprise) and I'm totally in love with my wee girl. Hubby is proud as pie !

Now the hard works starts ...

Rochwen, how great to hear from you! So glad everything is well, if a little unexpected! And after all your anxieties about labour/birth I'm really pleased for you that you are happy with your experience.

Enjoy that lovely new baby smell........and join blossom and jellybrain on the August postnatal thread! Hope to join you there soon!

PS great birth date - it was my birthday on the 8th too!

Rochwen, only just seen this - did post on the Aug thread at the time though. Congratulations! Would be great to get the Aberdeen meet up re-organised at some point - might need to wait until Josey and I have had ours too! Really glad that everything went well and you got home quickly despite dd being early.
