Kai arrived on Wednesday night 29 June 11.54pm Sydney time. 4.265kg / 9lb 60z, 53cm long, 35.5 head circumference. Normal Vaginal Delivery bit of gas only for pain relief - maybe if he hadn't been so quick I would have demanded something else as well. Arrived at hospital 4.15pm, not in true labour yet, dilating slowly, considering being induced when a midwife did an internal at 10.15 and my waters broke and then everything started happening very fast. I only used the f word twice apparently. Just a little 1st degree tear. Sent home day three. Breast Feeding well - very engorged right now. The biggest surprise was his size - no one had predicted it and I am only quite small myself. I highly recommend the use of a mirror during the birth, very motivating and involving. Just thrilled by how well DS1 has taken to DS2.
