Dad died today and just found out i'm pregnant!

My ddad passed today after fighting a short battle with cancer. he declined rapidly this past week and passed peacefully surrounded by family this am. It's my dd2 bday tomorrow and i have no idea how or when to tell my kids and to top it off my period was due tomorrow but due to feeling sick and other symptoms i got it in my head to take a test and it was positive. I'm on birth control and my youngest is just 1. My head is mince right now and i dont have a clue whats for the best part of me feels like it was supposed to be finding out today of all days but the other half feels like i dont know if i can go through with another child. has anyone ever been thru thisand can i ask what you did?

Some would say there's something beautiful in being given a life as one has passed, and there's some peace to be found in this.

It's got to be so hard for you, that's a lot of emotions to process in such a short amount of time. Do you have family around you? They'll be experiencing their own emotions at your dads passing but will be able to relate and share memories and help you.

Plus You've a lovely community here if you need to chat, or even vent if you feel angry or upset. It's totally normal. What a whirlwind, OP. Be strong x
