A good friend of mine called to say that a friend of his, who he'd known over 30 years, had killed herself last thursday.

He only found out on monday and is completely gutted to say the least.

I don't know how to help him and feel so sad to see him so upset.

He just won't talk about what has happened.

It's making it harder for him because he doesn't know all the details.

She came from the Reading in Berkshire area and if anyone on here from that area knows anything please tell me so i can pass it onto him.

I kow that she had at least one child who was at college.

Thanks if you can help.

That is very sad. I understand why you feel a bit helpless but I think if you tell your friend that you are there for him and if he wants to talk you'll listen.

Sorry, not from the Reading area so don't have any info. Maybe you could try looking for the local papers online? I know the BBC website have a section for local news and it covers the whole country.

Didn't want to leave this thread unanswered.
