Fucking Christmas Songs

Was walking through town on Sunday, Christmas lights getting switched on and Mariah Carey blasting out "all I want for Christmas is you" and that was me. Gone. Weeping as I pushed my twinnies home. It's been 3 years since my Mum died. 19 since my sister died. My remaining immediate family - Dad sister brother had a massive fallout and my previously close-knit family unit has all gone to shit. All I want for Christmas? Mariah- do you want a fucking list??!! at least my dh's family are normal

Totally with you here.

Lost my dad this year, sister 3 years ago, brother 9 years ago. Christmas means fuck all. It's not merry and bright, it's a bullshit reminder of yet another terrible year and yet another loved one whom I'll never see again. It sucks.

It was Have a Yourself a Merry Little Christmas that did for me. Think I'll be doing as much shopping online as I can.

This is the first xmas without my beautiful dad. Even my ds's don't seem excited this year. Would love to cancel it.
Will it ever be that fun, special wonderful time of year again or will very xmas just be shit?
Xmas isn't the presents, the food, the wine. It really is the people, when that changes its just shit.

I've had lots of losses this year and one just this week. I heard elvis singing in sainsbury's "I'll be so blue this Christmas, without you. ..". I was trying to choose eggs and struggled to find the carton I wanted.
