Late crawlers

Not too worried that my lad isnt crawling just curious, did your late crawlers just take off one day or was there lots of lead up. Saac has been looking like he is going to for about 12weeks, gets from sitting to lying, reaches right over with one leg tucked in position but gets other leg trapped, spins in a circle and pushes backwards. Just wondering whether all the lead up is common or whether some just go from sit to crawl without much in between iykwim. He is 10.5mths.

DD crawled commando style (no legs dragging her bum behind) from about 9 months, she only started crawling properly 6 weeks ago (she's 12.5 mo now) however she has started walking in the last few days. So being a late roller/crawler hasn't stopped her walking.

I wouldn't worry too much about it they all do it at their own pace, I'm sure in a few months time you'll be chasing him around no end.

My neice never crawled. She went from sitting to pulling herself up to walking at 12mths.
DS on the other hand has been crawling since he was 6mths and believe me, it's exhausting. He's 9mths now and pulling himself up and into everything. Enjoy this time whilst you can because as soon as he's mobile, you've had it!

my dd never crawled at all. (she didn't much like being on her tummy I think). She looked like she might crawl for months, really, but then just got up and started walking at 13 m. She is now 2.2 and extremely agile.

i dont think there is a 'normal' when it comes to children. Guide lines are vague. look on here and ask what age your child crawled we will get 5 months to 13 months...(rough guess) so which is normal? I always say bu starting school most are at the same stage and if not maybe it needs looking at!!!!
