AAAAARGH - the 'joy' of teething

My little DS is just coming up for 9 months old and is normally a happy contented little soul.

BUT

Currently he is off his food and formula milk (this has been going on for a couple of days) and yesterday he was really crabby - I think my poor wee man was quite tired and poorly. Also, sorry to be blunt about this - but his poohs have become very mustardy and runny, more like when he was being exclusively fed on (formula and breast) milk.

Is this normal and just a symptom of teething ? He seems back to more like his normal 'happy' self today but is still not taking much food or milk. Should I be worried? Any advice for a stressed out mum much appreciated!

Sounds like teething to me.

Try Nelsons Teething Granules......they have been a lifesaver for me and ds who is teething ATM. I also give him Calpol and he settles down.

Collision, he is usally OK with calpol, but I'm more worried about the eating/drinking less. Do you know if this is normal?

Yep DS always warns us hes going to get a tooth by losing appetite for a couple of days beforehand - then turns into a right grump! hes currently got the top front 4 all coming thro at once poor little mite and is not too happy about it.

I use calgel and the teething powders - both seem to have an instantaneous relief for him. Also those teethers that you put in the fridge he really likes those. HTH
