How can i stop ds legs getting stuck in the gaps in his cot?

This morning when he woke up i went in to his room and he was wide awake grizzling laying the width of his cot with both his legs sticking out of the gaps right up to his thighs. Hes done it quite a lot now. Not right up to his thighs but his feet or one leg and im scared he will end up twisting or bending the wrong way and breaking his leg. am i being stupid?

He's got a sleeping bag but this morning he woke up at 6, i gave him his bottle then put him back in his cot to sleep without his sleeping bag. He also has 2 naps a day without his sleeping bag. I might try a cot bumper but ive never really liked them that much

yes, he'd certainly wake up and stop turning over before his legs broke.......

We tried the cot bumper but it didn't work (legs hanging between the bumper and the mattress. How about a summer grobag?

Plus if you stop him getting his legs caught, he'll just catch his arms. DS did that last night, poor boy

I adapted my old cat net (poor cat )
Obviously you have to make sure it is very very secure. I did it as I was endlessly getting up in the night to pick his legs out from inbetween the bars when it's too hot for gro bags...

Don't do it if you're not confident you can make it secure enough. He won't break his legs anyway.

Another vote for grobag. Just in case you don't know they are sort of like sleeping bags that have armholes.
