Car Seat Trouble

My daughter of 2 1/2 never wants to get into her car seat. She'd rather walk or scoot everywhere but this isn't always possible! It takes me approx. 15 minutes to coax her into the seat by which point I'm frazzled and infuriated and she's unhappy. She can climb in herself but knows she'll be strapped in so jumps back out! Any ideas to help?

No idea but my DD does that. She's better now she's 3 and can sit in a booster with a seatbelt, think she feels less constrained.

Can't really help but share your frustration!

If the seat reclines. lay it back, dump her in it and hold her in with an elbow while you get straps done up. It takes more effort for them to get out from a laid back position so you get a bit more time to buckle them in.

Then start the journey with civil conversation and maybe her choice of music. Other bribes may work better than music YKYC.
