Help please, DS can't keep it in his pants!

Well, his nappy. He is 2.2 and is constantly pulling his penis up over it. It is fairly easy to distract him during the day but he is waking up early soaked all the way up to his neck and with the sheet wringing wet too. As you can imagine, he's cold and miserable.

He isn't very verbal so I can't really explain why he shouldn't. I've tried vests under all-in-ones but his little fingers always find a way to bury themselves under his clothes and er, find himself.

Has anyone else has this problem with boys and did you solve it at this stage? TIA

Had/have this problem with my little man too. No suggestions I'm afraid as the vest thing was my best option. DS is doing it much less now (probably once a week). Just to let you know you are not alone! Washing those wee soaked sheets constantly is maddening!

Thanks nikki, it is isn't it? I wonder if it would be cruel to dress him in one of those lycra swimsuits that are clingy from neck to knees at night

My ds1 does this too and wets the bed. He only fiddles when he's awake so after he's gone to sleep at night I have to check he's pointing the right way. He's quite a sound sleeper so I'm not sure if everyone could get away with repositioning! I've had to remove his whole hand from his nappy on occasions. If he wakes in the night I don't check him after he's gone back to sleep and that tends to be when he's wet in the morning.
