Shaking in his sleep

My little boy sometimes shakes in his sleep. He's done it sporadically all his life. Otherwise he is a fit, healthy & developing two & a half year old. Does anyone else have experience of this?

Is he cold? Is he weeing as LIZs says? Do you think he is dreaming?

Not sure. It lasts about 2 - 3 minutes. Could be a dream like you say. Otherwise he is completely normal & I just know the Doctor will say 'its viral' or some other fob off, but its quite scary while he does it. His breathing sharpens at the same time?

Yes, he is ridiculously strong - good point! Thank you, I shall keep an eye out next time & monitor him. Do your two get really hot at the same time? He cools down straight afterwards.

Yes they sweat like mad
Twitch like they are kicking footballs, then it stops they cool down and go back into a very still deep sleep.
Annoying at times whe Dh is kicking me!!

Oh no - getting it from all sides isn't good in the middle of the night!
Thank you, you've put my mind at ease.
