yesterday dd was told off by dh and dd ever so calmly turns around and sticks two fingers up at him, then carries on with what she was doing. how do you deal with that, and how do manage to prevent yourself laughing long enough to do deal with it?

thats the problem isnt it. its obviously not funny,but then, it is.if you know what i mean.

punishment time, i think! take away a toy, or ban playstation for the day, or whatever! (first explaining that some things are very rude and that dd has upset daddy). request apology from dd to daddy!

then go into bathroom, run taps and repeatedly flush chain while p*ing yourself laughing.

If incident was yesterday, its too late to deal with it today. I agree though, DD needs to know it is wrong and next time she does it I would go for removal of toy or time out and an apology.
