help please!
my DD1 is 2 and has suddenly decided that there is a crocodile who lives under her bed called sophie! Sophie chases her around the house and she has started crying early each morning saying that she is there. Now its fantastic that she has imagination but how do I react to this?
Should I say there is no crocodile or play along and tell sophie to shooo?
(DD does not know anyone called sophie)
Her little brother is just 12 weeks so may be an attention thing but I do wonder why now and not 3 months ago.
Has anyone else had to deal with an imaginary friend/scary crocodile?

We had a spider that lived under the bed - and sometimes got in as well. We dealt with it by getting a book about spiders from the library and making it clear that large spiders live only in other countries! Worked because DS2 is nearly 4 - maybe a 2 year old would respond better to the searching and shooing technique.

We have also had a bumble bee (inspired by a push along toy) and a ladybird...
