4 months old, difficult phase?

my DD is almost 5 months old and looking back, she has been incredibly grisly since she turned 4 months. she had a nice sleeping routine from 2 to 3 months, then the teething started and night time can be mayhem for 4/5 days, then 1/2 days of break.

but i dont think is just teething, i just get this sense that even during the day she is more grisly, harder to settle, almost always wanting something from us, and almost no periods of just being content.

its nothing major in our lives, i love her with all my heart and im happy to soothe/entertain/be with her whenever she needs me. and she is incredibly smiley when she is not being grisly. but i do wonder whats going on in her development at this stage, besides teething. yes, i have googled it but didnt find anything enlightening. and i do remember reading an odd post here and there of other moms commenting on their 4 months old difficult phase. but now, of course, i cant find them!

is there anyone out there that could share their experience with me? i would be very grateful.

I was just hunting on here for advice too! I look after my nephew who is 6 months and wea re going through a hard time. He is just not happy...and has amazing temper tantrums when he cant get him own way! He brings his mum to tears...and i am baffled by him, he is soo young for all this!

I have 8 of my own and i am at a loss of what to do with him!, it's not nice seeing him so screamy!

He was a colicky baby, and then was a lot better around 3-5 months, but gradually has become a nightmare!

Just wanted to say hello and see if there are any tips too, hope you don't mind.

Just to say my DS1 completely changed at 4 months. He stopped sleeping through the night, became too distractable to bf in the day, started to be a little sicky. I put it down to a huge growth spurt and his growing awareness that there was a world outside of himself. From what I remember there were loads of other mums saying that there lo changed at 4 months aswell when I spent most of my time looking for sleep solutions. Some lo start teething as well. There is a lot going on for them physically with learning to sit / roll etc so it can be hard. If I remember rightly had information about distractable babies that might be interesting.
