6 month old short arms and legs

Concerned mum of two. My daughter is 6 months old and has short arms compared to her body. I feel her legs are also short, but have read that legs can be short at this age. I have looked at other babies her age and her arms and legs are shorter. Her hands don't meet above her head. My son didn't look like this as he was long all over. I need to roll up all her tops and baby grows on the sleeves. She is still in 3-6 months stuff and will be 7 months soon. She is currently 50 percentile for length but I would say this is due to her long trunk. Her arms and hands when stretched out reach the top of thighs/ hips but don't come down further like other babies. Anyone else got a baby with short arms and this evened out over time or this a sign of something that needs investigating? She does have a large head too.

Have you measure her head @Spanz10 and what centile is it on?

@JiltedJohnsJulie her head was 90+ at birth and everything else 50. She had a check up and they said 75th for head now. Still bigger. Why do you ask?

I was just wondering if her head has always been on the big side and it’s tracking the centiles.

I think given your concerns, I’d see the GP.

@JiltedJohnsJulie I will go. Do you have any experience or suspect anything?

I haven’t but I think you should always Trust your instincts in these things. If you are worried enough to come on MN and ask, it’s certainly worth investigating. When centiles aren’t quite in proportion it is also worth investigating. Do come back and let us know what the GP says.
