Has cow & gate changed the ingredients?

My 11m old has mad diarrhoea for the past 2.5weeks. Doctor took a stool sample and the results have come back of no infection. They said could last 1 month with viral infections Confused

However my mil today forced me to give him full fat cows milk and she boiled it first and then once cooled we gave it to him. So far 40minutes & 4oz later he hadn’t pooped! He was literally pooing the minute his milk finished. She’s quiet sure it’s the cow and gate.

Anyone else had this problem with there Lo’s recently?

Is it 1st milk or follow on? You dont need to boil and cool cows milk

Why did your mil force you? That's not ok, you're the parent here.

NHS guidelines say cows milk ok from 1 don't they?

Are you using the premade formula pots (the more expensive no fridge ones) or making up the formula from powder? If powder, are you actually prepping it safely e.g. using UK tap water boiled then mixed with the powder at 70 deg c or above? Are your bottles well sterilised?

There's too many variables here, you're going to need to provide more context.

Failing that, the manufacturer will have a customer care line, have you called them to check?

She’s quiet sure it’s the cow and gate.

Also is your mil prone to random assertions like that, not based on any real evidence or data? I mean, she can't be sure of anything here, you need to work through things a bit more.. well... Logically Confused

Oops I think I better rephrase this.
I had run out of ideas of what is triggering my LOs diarrhoea, so she suggested she had a strong feeling it was the cow & gate milk. We’ve literally tried everything. I’m literally struggling, he has bum sores & constant diarrhoea coming up to 3 weeks now.
Stool sample showed no bacteria infection & his diarrhoea started while we was in Portugal at the end of September. Anyone know anything else that could be triggering it... willing to try.

He had cows milk at 6:30pm and done a poo at 7:30pm which is a stretch for him considering he does it as soon as he finishes milk. Since then he’s done 1 loose poo & 1 solidy. Sorry tmi

Just need some help Sad
