Baby in pain

I’ve recently tried to introduce my baby to cow and gate formula from the cow and gate ready to feed and since I’ve done this (or maybe it’s just coincidence) my baby has a 30 min episode a day of screaming, going red in the face, straining like he’s trying to push something out, arching his back and squirming in pain it’s heartbreaking. Sometimes he manages to push out a fart with all the straining but never a poo. He only poos every other day too. Can anyone help? Do you think its the formula?!

Poor baby :( might be the change of the milk. Have you tried colic formula? My son was the same and we switched his to colic and constipation which is meant the be easier to digest. His change was instant!

Ooh please report back if you find a solution! My 15 week old baby boy does the weird straining/pushing thing multiple times a day - and, like yours, never actually poos (his poos are runny so it's not constipation). He is ebf though so I just don't know what to do about it! I thought maybe it's trapped wind but I don't know! Doctor was useless and says it's normal attempt at bowel movement and that it'll stop eventually. But he seems in pain and he screams with it! :(
