Toddler only sleeps 9 hours

So my toddler has recently become a dreadful sleeper. She sleeps 8.30-5.30. If she goes to bed earlier, she wakes earlier. She dropped her nap at 14 months but was sleeping 12+ hours at night then. Now she has started having up to an hour at lunchtime again but only in pushchair or car and not reliable. Having the nap or not makes no difference to night time sleep. Her behaviour is pretty rubbish at times but it doesn’t seem related to sleep. She is just a typical 2 year old pushing boundaries. The main thing I notice is that she is less willing to walk places after a bad night as clearly tired. Although will run around the park just fine! I have black out curtains, have tried sticker charts and the gro clock but nothing works at the moment. Does she just need this little sleep? Is it a sign of a hyperactivity disorder potentially?

My 2.7 year old is exactly the same. I have no advice but I’d like like to hear what others have to say!

My 2 boys (6 & 4) are early risers and always have been! So I'm up any time from 5.45 every morning. You just get used to it.
For me it makes no difference if they go to bed earlier or later. I do think the summer time affects them though so you might see a bit of an improvement once the autumn comes in. Good luck...I feel your pain. X
