..can you explain how they do it?

I’m trying to teach my 3yo to dress himself but he struggles with co-ordination. We’re making progress with most things except removing a t-shirt/long sleeved top. I can’t figure out the best way to help him.

One arm out then the other and then pull it over the head

Taken us till DD2 was 5 to semi-figure this out - but she IS dyspraxic.

Try with a slightly larger than his norm top, bit more forgiving in terms of room to wriggle in (I buy DD2's clothes a size up - especially since girls' stuff tends to be cut slim fitting - just to give her that help getting the arms in and out of arm holes.

I have a 3.9yr old ds who still struggles with tops, gets very frustrated and refuses to go slowly with it and therefore gets in a tangle. My advice to him which always works when he listens is to pull from the elbow of the sleeve so he can tuck the arm inwards and then hands out from the bottom, once both sides are done then easy over the head. He can do it when he's patient but if he rushes it's a nightmare of him jumping up n down shouting I can't do it!!!
