My baby girl just turned 6 months old last week and cannot roll yet from either tummy to back or back to tummy, she sits for only a few seconds unaided however does sit with minimal support very well, she’s extremely sociable and smiles, laughs and babbles to everyone, she sleeps very well and is a great eater, her fine motor skills are very good in the sense that she can pick up object hold them properly and play with toys on her play gym, she also picks up finger foods and puts them straight into her mouth perfectly so I don’t worry about any other aspect of her development, her babbling is a mixture of both vowels and consonants and she copies too, I should mention she rolls to her side so the initial muscle movement to do it is there, she just never gives herself that final lift off to actually roll and it’s worrying me given she is now 6 months, has anyone’s babies done this at an older age and are now fine? I guess that’s the reassurance I’m looking for!
