16 month old seeks out affection from strangers ( men)!

This is a bit of an odd one and I'm not too sure if I should be concerned about it. My 16 month old boy has over that past few months shown an distinct interest in men including strangers and approaches them for cuddles . For example we were at a park a few weeks ago and he approached another dad sat down at the sand pit who was with his child, my son approached him wanting a cuddle and eventually managed to nestle himself inbetween his legs for a 'cuddle', which the guy found rather amusing. Also at classes he'll seek out the one dad in the room and want cuddles from them, I've even seen him run after other dads in the park. At first I found this amusing and quite sweet, thinking perhaps he missed his dad. However my partner recently told me he took him to class where he did the exact same thing so it can't be that he misses him or mistakes the men for his dad. He's also very affectionate towards his Grandads and childminders husband, so it's with people he knows as well but nearly always men! He gets more than enough attention and affection from myself and my partner and I can't help but feel a little put out out by his behaviour and a little worried that he can be so tactile with strangers. He seems perfectly normal developmentally otherwise. Has anyone experienced this or has a take on it?

Both mine did that - actually the first one went through a phase when he would target women in hijabs for cuddles. The second one spent most of the last train journey we took in a (lovely) bloke's lap and is notorious for demanding hugs from half the staff in nursery.
