haircuts!!!

Ds is 21 months and has always hated having his hair cut after his first cut when he just turned one and she used clippers on him and i knew no different he is ny first child and wasnt until the second cut he freaked out and i was told this is why. Poor thing probably scarred for life! But hes at a stage now it needs cut every 2 weeks and he is hitting the hairdresser and thrashing around! Any tips to help? :( weve tried giving him a phone, portable dvd player, her coming to us, us going to salon, watching us get ours done etc but to no avail need help!

Are you going to a children's hairdresser? Mine love sitting in an aeroplane shaped chair while watching Peppa and munching on biscuits, and then being rewarded with sweets...

Could you explain that the clippers that scared him won't be used - even show them to him and then very obviously put them away somewhere so he can see they won't be used?

There's no way that he needs it doing every 2 weeks! Leave it alone for a while and try again in a few months
