Breathing Spells/ Reflex Anoxic Syndrome

Hi

I don't know if this post is the right place but here goes.

My daughter has just turned 14months and has started passing out when she gets hurt or upset.

The first time it happened she had bumped her arm, there was no damage not even a bruise but the pain shocked her, I picked her straight up for a cuddle she let out a big cry and then just could catch her breath. Her body went stiff and her eyes rolled back in her head. She was passed out for around 30 secs. We went to the doctors and they told me that she has reflex anoxic syndrome gave me a leaflet saying it wasn't dangerous and sent us on our way. Since then it's happening once or twice a week and it's absolutely terrifying.

It's always when she bumps herself or if she wants me to cuddle or pick her up and I don't get there quick enough. I don't leave her to cry but the whole thing happens that fast i don't always get to her in time and I don't know if this cry will be the one where she passes out as it doesn't happen every time.

Does anyone have a lo with this and any tips that might help, we go back to the doctors next week but there doesn't seem to be much info out there and it's really upsetting for us all.

I would be so grateful for any help
