Thought I had cracked the sleep pattern for my baby, has been sleeping through the night from 3 months but now for the last few days waking up at 3am, 4am and not going back to sleep until 6ish, tonight for example he's been awake since 3 and he's still awake at 5am, not crying just chatting to himself, blowing raspberries, basically wide awake! Any advice on how I can break this pattern and why it might be happening? He normally has two naps a day and we start his bedtime routine between half 6 and 7, he's normally asleep by half 7/8.....

I have an 11mo who self settles and knows how to sleep through but in my experience they go through stages, you can't expect them to sleep through forever once they start doing it. For example this week my ds has been unsettled at night due to teething and the fact he is learning to walk.

There is loads going on developmentally at 6 months as well as teething so I think disturbed sleep is to be expected.

If he's not crying I'd leave him to it - keep consistent, don't get into any new habits like an extra feed or co sleeping, and this phase will pass.
