Crossing of fingers

Hello, just wondering if I'm being irrational. I have notieced my 19 month old dd is crossing her fingers an awful lot. Not the same ones each time, it can be any of them. It looks really awkward. I googled it and it mentioned being linked to autism. Am I being ridiculous to worry? Do you think she has just found out she can cross her fingers? Thank you.

DS went through a phase f doing that a lot. I'd forgotten about that. I suspect she's just found out she can do that with her fingers. I wouldn't worry.

Thanks mummagiles. My mum said the same, I forgot about it until I saw her doing it again this morning! Will try and put it to the back of my mind! Too much googling is not a good thing!

Try not too worry. My son has Autism and I've never heard of crossing fingers as a sign (I've read a lot about Autism). As long as your child is developing typically with their speech, understanding you have nothing to worry about. At 19 months, my son had many noticeable signs of ASD (and he is ok the milder end of the spectrum).

I also have a daughter. She flaps her hands which is a sign of Autism but she has no other signs so I don't worry about it! Smile
