Baby acne at 8 months

Just wondered if anyone else had experience of this? Ds2 had really bad acne when he was tiny. He's now 8 months and although it's a bit better he still has a lot of spots on his cheeks including some big, angry looking ones filled with pus. I've taken him to the gp and they say it will get better but I was hoping it would have gone by now. I'm still breastfeeding and wondered if it might be related? Wiukd be great to hear any other experiences

Oh dear! I know how you feel, DD2 had it badly and it's hard not to wish for perfect baby skin even though you know it doesn't hurt and they don't care.

DD2's did clear up by about 4 months, I was also breastfeeding.

Are you on any medication he might be reacting to? Have you tried using a very gentle detergent? You're not putting any products in his bath or on his skin I presume? Sorry no other ideas but bumping for you in case someone else has had this.

Thanks for that minipie. I'm not on medications and haven't put anything at all on his skin until just this last week I've tried coconut oil which hasn't made any difference. Oh well, I shall just wait it out I guess! Yes good to remember that he's not bothered!

Just out of interest, do you use baby wipes on his face?

Hi, I know this is an old post but how is your LOs skin now? My breastfed 10.5 month old also has infantile acne and I’m wondering if it’ll go away/ the red marks will fade!

xx
