10yo stammerer/shyness wont speak up at school

dd10 has a very mild stammer when she's stressed out, more so at school, she's a fab reader but hates reading out loud.
She says she likes to be quiet, when I ask her. She is a fairly confident kid, well-behaved etc

how do I get her to speak up more in class/groups? Also her teacher admitted never having had a stammerer before, so I don't think she's super-sympathetic...
We're seeing a speech therapist soonish for coping strategies, there's a lot of conflicting nonsense on the web...so anyone been through this?
