DS is 6 months. He is lovely but whinges/grizzles so much I am starting to doubt myself and worry that I'm missing something. He can be fed, fresh from a long nap, changed, played with, physically comfy as far as I can tell, and still grizzling all the time. Often he smiles at me still grizzling. Singing to him or flying him around the room distract him, but only for the duration.

He started teething just before 3 months and has 3 pearly bumps though they are small. Is it possible to have some discomfort from teething most of the time? He is also badly congested all the time (was reflux but think this is mostly sorted. Tried giving up dairy but didn't help) so could it be this?

All suggestions gratefully received!

Teething can last for years , my youngest son was 1 when he got his first tooth , but had months of Grizzling , we changed from bonjella to a herbal flack you pop under their tongue, worked a treat ,
Hope that helps X

Thank you! I think it probably is teething but had no idea it could go on and on at a low level like this. Thought was all screams and drama which we also get sometimes Grin. Will just keep trying to make him comfortable and distract where possible!

Hi my daughter was teething forever....months and months. She was an absolute snot monster the entire time which meant she couldn't sleep properly ( was very congested and couldn't suck her thumb). I think the nasal congestion caused more problems than any pain as such. We did try a number of things and I'm not sure that anything especially helped but of course we eventually made it through the other side in one piece. Good luck it does get better. ( apart from snot she had the usually pink cheeks and very dribbly)

Thank you! Fingers crossed. Definitely agree re the congestion being the worst part. He's woken 3 times with it already since 7.45 Grin. Poor mite. Always nice to hear a story of light at the end of the tunnel!
