She's my second, you'd think I'd know what to do by now. Basically she screams (like really screams) before every sleep. I try nursing her, bouncing her, patting her, shhhing her, swaddling her, white noise, and any combination of the above. But alot of them seem to make her scream even more.
I try putting her down after the first yawn everytime, but nothing seems to work. She doesn't suck her thumb or take a dummy, so can't fall back on either of those.
I don't think she has reflux or anything, she's really happy when she's awake, or lying on her back. And generally sleeps well at night.
I end up having to go on long walks with her screaming in the sling, until she eventually knackers herself out. She won't sleep in the pram either (just stares up, wide awake the whole time). The problem is i have a toddler, so the long walks aren't always practical. Also, it's upsetting seeing her go so crazy.
Any advice? Should I try putting her down even earlier? Or even just keep her up longer than the advised awake times?
