Hey everyone I have girl/boy twins and their 17months my little girl is a lot more forward than her brother and has started smacking him for no reason I've been trying to deal with it by my usual way of counting to 3 for her to stop or warning of a time out .. But it's getting out of hand, today she threw something at his head for no reason .. She had tendencies to smack myself and her dad as well. I just need some advice of how to deal with this before it gets worse Blush

I would pick her up, remove her from whatever she's doing and away from her brother with a firm "No." and then lavish attention on her brother whilst not responding to her for a minute.

This is a really difficult phase. She's too young to understand most forms of discipline so I agree with a firm NO and withdrawing your attention. When she's a few months older you can start trying the naughty step or similar.

Thanks guys it's a hard one because when I move her away she runs back and hits him again which is why I've been doing the time out in her cot for 2mins .. Guess I just need to keep up with it
