My dd is 3.5. She has a really makes me want to rip my head off annoying habit. I just wondered if it's normal or not.
Dd 'mummy can I have more crisps please'
Me: 'no sweetheart the bag is finished'
Dd 'no I mean the round ones. Can I have more of those please'
Me: 'no sweetheart. You had the last ones so the bag is finished'
Dd: 'NO! I MEAN the round ones. Not the ball ones'
Me: 'I know what you mean. But the bag is finished. The bag of round ones and ball ones are finished'
Dd: 'I MEAN...'
It goes on until I start to get annoyed and snap something like 'I know exactly what you mean but They. Are. All. Finished. O.K???'
And then she will go 'OK mummy' and that's that.
It's this endless 'i mean' and the assumption that cos I didn't immediately say yes then I clearly don't understand what she meant!!
Drives me fucking nuts
