Gagging over odd things

Hi, I have a 21 month old who gags (but never vomits) when picking up certain things i.e. carrier bags, leafs, worms to name a few. I’ve spoken to fiends and non of them have experienced this. Not worried, but just wondered if anyone else has come across it and if it resolved itself eventually.

Does he have any allergies? Does he say anything about the items such as smelly, yuck etc when touching them? Does he get attention when he gags? I would instantly distract him with something else if he does it and try that. My son saw me being sick (pregnancy related) and started copying. It wasn't until I ignored the behaviour and distracted him that he grew out if it.

Best of luck and hope he stops soon x
