7 month old development- normal?

Hello, my dd is 7&3/4 months old (8months on the 1st Nov). She sits unsupported and is desperate to stand. She can hold onto the sofa or with our hands and supports her own weight well. Now she can sit, all she wants to do is stand. But, she does not show any signs of crawling and I have never seen her roll all the way from front to back or vice versa. I have seen her roll onto her side and when she wants a toy she will reach over for it. Is this normal? I think babies should be trying to crawl at this age?

Not all babies crawl, some go straight to walking. Sounds like she s doing fine.

Totally. DD didn't crawl until nearly 9 months and then started rolling loads at that point to get to crawling position. Loads of friends babies haven't even crawled and don't look like they will.

Sounds normal to me. My dd crawled in a half bum shuffle/ half crawl eventually when she was about ten months and walked when she had just turned one. She very rarely rolled over

DS was an early crawler at 6m(although it was the most ungraceful motion ever!), his friend who was born the day before him still isn't crawling at 10m, she is however saying words and pointing and DS remains tightlipped...

My point is, don't worry, they pretty much all get there eventually they are just all different and reach different milestones at different times.

Totally normal. They vary so much. I think it's more the desire to play and explore which is important.
