Hope someone can shed some light on this...
We go to my in-laws' regularly (about once or twice a month) and usually stay a couple of hours. DD is always happy there and never cried or behaved strangely before.
On Mother's Day we went to visit and as we walked in she started crying and wouldn't stop until DH (who was carrying her) left the house. It was proper crying with huge fat tears running down her face and she was just scared/distressed.
We left and thought we'd give it a couple of weeks, but we have tried to visit since then and while she's fine in the garden and outside, as soon as she enters the house we have the exact same outcome - serious tears and proper distress.
It's definitely not linked to in-laws as she's fine with them in the garden or any other setting.
I know we can't fathom the reason behind it, but I was hoping someone could suggest a gentle way to get past this, maybe a type of CBT for babies?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
