Can anyone offer advice? Having problems as a first time mum. My 12 week old girls colic has got worse, not better and she's in so much pain. just swapped from gripe water to infacol. Hope that will help. Massage, winding and distraction methods like swinging help a bit. Oddly Gangnam Style seems to work the best! But she can't sleep because of the pain. I am exhausted as also don't get to sleep and am very dizzy. Then she gets overtired so can't sleep because of that. She just cries and cries and its so upsetting. Also she's not put on enough weight in the last 2 weeks - probably not feeding well because of sleep and colic problems. She is very small anyway. We are forming bad habits as the only way I can get her to sleep is on me while feeding, in her swing or whilst swaying her to loud beaty music on her front. If I put her in her basket for her night sleep she'll stay asleep (having fallen asleep on the breast) but not in the day. If I put her in it whilst sleepy she just cries every time I put her back down. She won't take a dummy or finger to suck and the only way to get her to sleep often is feeding. Really want to do EASY but just can't see how it's possible. She is breastfed with a supplement of formula before sleep. She cluster feeds from about 7.00 to 12.00 every night. Struggling to get her to sleep at all in the day. What am I doing wrong?!
