So annoyed at DH!

Can anyone help me my DS used to be rocked until sleepy then put down in his crib (we have been trying to get him used to it for when he changes fully) but my DH has been off and he couldn't be arsed to go through the process and just let's him sleep in his arms. Now when I put DS down he wakes up straight away. Any tips on how to correct this and not hurt my DH?

I wait for like 15 min to be asleep ( deep sleep) before puting the baby in cot.

Hotwater bottle in crib. DCs that are feed or cuddled to sleep notice far less if the cot they are placed in is warm.

If you had the TV on leave it on and the bed door ajar.

Warm hug to cold silence is an instant recipe for "Whaaaaa"

What is the problem with putting DS in cot when he's awake? Will he not just go to sleep on his own in 5-10 mins?

yep, put your ds to bed yourself and continue the good work you were doing. its unfair to undo your good work in helping your DS have good bedtime habits just becuase your dh "couldn't be arsed with the process" xx

No if I put him in his cotbed he doesn't know how to get him self to sleep. He currently sleeps in a Moses basket in our room and 90% of the time he will go to sleep himself in there and I don't have to do anything. (that's his night time sleep) but for his naps he doesn't know what to do. It's making me panic to put him in his cot bed at night as I worry he won't sleep. Hmm
