7 year old wets himself

My 7 year old ds still wets himself sometimes. It's not all the time but has become more frequent recently. He doesn't seem remotely bothered by it but I'm worried about other children noticing. Today he went on a school trip and came home soaked. He said he was laughing on the bus and didn't know he needed to go and couldn't stop. I really don't know what to do.

Thanks. I appreciate your reply as I have felt like he's the only child his age with this problem. Got an appt with gp next week so will see where we go from there.
